I love February, yes it’s cold and dull for the most part and often snowy but it has one main redeeming feature… It’s not January.
The tax return season has ended and I get at least 2 months of (relative) peace before April. So my New Year starts here. Office spring clean, looking for a new sofa (By an amazing coincidence dfs and scs have sales on; who would have thought??). In fact lots of things I have been putting off all through January can now be done.
Plus (and more relevant for all the non accountants out there), the daffodils are starting to flower, the nights are noticeably shortening and little by little the average temperature is starting to climb. Spring is again on it’s way.
Oh, and if you are going to Farndale, some of the best displays are at the bottom of the dale, but you need to be prepared to get your feet muddy.
