Life’s a beach!

It’s snowing ( a bit here, but melting so everything is slushy and wet… and cold) so I thought the picture above might cheer you all up a bit.

Or not, you may be thinking, “that’s out of my reach, why taunt me with it?”.

Well actually it’s not out of your reach at all. It’s Scarborough, so only an hours drive away!!

Mind you it could be Scarborough in Tobago in the Caribbean. Which would explain the lack of donkeys, amusement arcades and people with white legs. Anyway it does illustrate the importance of being specific with your “goals” (As you will doubtless recall from an earlier post I don’t do Goals! as I find them a bit demoralizing. I prefer processes but you still need to point yourself in the right direction. And keep in mind that each step of the way should be (as far as possible) fun, otherwise you may falter and fail before even getting part way there.

Even though there is little but ocean between here and the Caribbean doesn’t stop you from enjoying the journey, you just have to relax and take pleasure in each passing moment, the waves, the birds, the dolphins swimming by. (Metaphorically speaking of course, most people fly, but that’s partly a symptom of our modern, “I want everything now” world)

But however you choose to travel, enjoy the journey.

Have a great week
